Shoe Bones is a hybrid creative space in Salem, MA. As an art gallery, consignment shop, microcinema, and event space, Shoe Bones seeks to platform underrepresented, radical, queer, and self- taught artists and their visions. While we specialize in queer and outsider art, our primary goal is to provide an alternative to the commercial art gallery that brings connections to marginalized artists and art-lovers whose creative needs and tastes often go unmet and unsatisfied.

In addition to monthly exhibitions, Shoe Bones will host regular events and community activities including movie screenings, vendor nights, drawing and painting groups, creative demos, artist talks, presentations, and an array of live performances. All such events will include sliding-scale suggested donations, with no one turned away. All proposals for exhibitions, consignment, and events will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Just send in email.
